Mark this time- approximately 2:21 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, July 13- 2011. A caller to Rush Limbaugh's program contended that if President Obama does not know whether Social Security checks can be sent out if the debt limit is not raised, Republicans should go back to promoting privatization of the Social Security system. At that exact moment, transmission of Limbaugh's show in the 6th largest media market in the nation ceased for approximately four minutes, at which time the program was in commercial break.
